The Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast has been little explored, it host unique and virgin landscapes that you can not miss. The two autonomous regions of Nicaraguan Caribbean coast hold nearly a third part of the total area of the country.

In the Caribbean you can also find excellent beaches almost unexplored. Starting in the RAAN, in addition to the natural exuberance and activities you can do, you will also learn about the complex history, culture and ethnicity that host this magical region. On the beaches of Puerto Cabezas actually known as Bilwi, there is a long wooden pier that juts into the sea, which offers the possibility to enjoy a magnificent sunset and capture unique images.

In front of Bilwi, is the Marine Biological Reserve and Coastal Fringe, “The Miskito Cays”, consisting of estuaries, coral reefs, islets, cays and sea grass beds. There you can do activities such as snorkeling, bird watching, fishing and exploring the islands by boat. The Reserve is an intricate network of land and aquatic ecosystems which are considered one of the most productive habitats on earth.

Entering the RAAS, in front of the coast of Bluefield, you will have more beautiful beaches in “Corn Island” an island of sea coral life formation with clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, great reefs and marine; you can go there by airplane or by fishing boats.

The Pearl Cays are a group of about 14 small islands, which possess qualities common in the Caribbean: white sand, sparkling turquoise waters and palm trees. A good place to spend a quiet day. The Pearl Cays an important nesting sanctuary for Hawksbill Turtles which endangered species.
